Day 1 - Delhi

Welcome to Delhi
Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 - Delhi
Morning free to relax. Afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
Delhi - In New Delhi, you can visit Dilli Haat, best place to look at Indian handicrafts and drive over the Rajpath, the site for Republic Day Parade of India to India Gate, a tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their nation. You can see the President's House from outside and visit the 16th century Humayun's Tomb, Safdarjung's Tomb and Qutub Minar.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 - Delhi
Morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi.
Delhi - The capital of India, Delhi has been centre of political turmoil since 13th century. The day includes a visit to the Yogmaya Temple, the temple complex of Laxmi Narayan, the famous Chattarpur Temple and the Bahai Temple, also known as the Lotus Temple. Raj Ghat in Delhi, the cremation site of Mahatama Gandhi, Father Of India, is much like a sacred temple to every patriotic Indian heart too. Enjoy a bit of astrological predictions and findings in the evening at Old Delhi, after which you are free to do shopping and relax. Ride a cycle rickshaw through the crowded streets of the markets of Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India in Old Delhi.

Day 4 - Kaziranga National Park
Morning flight to Guwahati.
Guwahati - Kamakhya Temple of Guwahati one of the oldest and most sacred centre for Shakti worship and Tantric Hinduism. There is Navagraha Temple on Chitrachal Hill, believed to be an ancient seat of study of astronomy and astrology. The other places worth visiting in Guwahati are Umananda Temple and Assam State Museum, which exhibits works of archaeology, sculpture, paintings, metal, ivory and woodwork, costumes, ethnology, reconstructed huts of Assamese tribes, weavings and musical instruments.


Drive to Kaziranga National Park.
Evening performance of tribal Bihu dance of the region and dibber by camp fire. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 5 - Kaziranga National Park
Indulge in jungle activities in the park. Afternoon visit to tribal village and witness silk-worm rearing. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 6 - Kaziranga National Park
Early morning elephant ride to Kaziranga National Park. Afternoon visit to the tea garden and tea factory. Dinner at garden bungalow. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 7 - Kalimpong
Flight to Bagdogra from Guwahati at noon. Drive to Kalimpong. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8 - Kalimpong
Morning free to relax. Afternoon guided tour of Kalimpong. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9 - Siliguri
Early morning river rafting on River Teesta and then drive to Siliguri. Transfer to Kolkatta by overnight train.

Day 10 - Kolkatta
Sightseeing tour of Kolkatta. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11 - Sunderbans National Park
Transfer to Basanti Port for cruising to Sundarbans by overnight motorized launch.

Day 12 - Sunderbans National Park
Cruise through mangrove creeks for wildlife viewing and bird watching at the Sundarbans.

Sunderbans - Named so after the 'Sundari' trees found abundantly here, this mangrove swamp has several wild animals and crocodile-infested estuaries and is one of the last preserves of the Royal Bengal tiger. To the south of Calcutta, Sunderbans is set at the mouth of the Ganges and is a part of the world's largest delta region. Now, it has been listed as the UNESCO world heritage site and claims to have the largest number of wild tigers in the world. One can also see the crocodile-breeding farm here which is the largest estuarine of crocodiles in the world. There are watchtowers at Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhali, Netidhopan and Haldi to watch the number of birds including the rare ones living here. Other highlights of the sanctuary are Netidhopan housing the ruins of a 400-year-old temple, Holiday Island, a retreat of the barking deer and Kanak, the nesting place of Olive Ridley Turtles.

Day 13 - Sunderbans National Park
Morning cycle rickshaw ride to Rangabeloa Tagore Society and see rural development project. Afternoon return to Basanti Port. Drive to Kolkatta. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14 - Delhi
Morning flight to Delhi. Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.
