The Gir National Park

The Gir Lodge, Gir : Located on the edge of the world-renowned Gir Forest, the gir lodge provides spacious comfort and modern amenities. The Gir Lodge is 65 km from Junagadh railway station and 60 km from Keshod airport.

The Gir National Park and Sanctuary , covering 1400 sq km of dry deciduous forest and tropical thorn forest, is home to the leopard, jungle cat, rusty spotted cat and hyena. Among the prey species are the sambhar, cheetal, four-horned antelope, wild boar and hare. Gir is also a bird watcher's paradise as it has more than 200 species of avi-fauna.

Maneland Jungle Lodge : In the Saurashtra Penninsula of Gujarat state an area of 1412 sq. km. of dry decidious forest, we have the world's last & only home of the Asiatic Lion, A majestic animal who doesn't hide from visitors & whose population has now crossed 300.

Maneland Jungle Lodge is designed to match the asthetics of the area & stylized using local material & construction techniques. The lodge nestling in small hills offers a perfect blend of the wild, exciting & even romantic experience of the forest.

Gir Birding Lodge : The Gir Birding Lodge is located in a large mango orchard at the entrance to the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary. The lodge has two rooms in the main building (sharing a bath) and 4 cottages with attached bathrooms, featuring western toilet fittings, hot-and-cold showers. Comfortably furnished, the rooms and cottages are surrounded by groves of the famous Kesar Mango of the Gir hills and other vegetation ensuring that a good number of birds come into the property itself.

Appointed in Gujarati-style with low settees, mattresses and bolsters, and decorated with wildlife photographs and regional handicrafts, the dining and drawing areas on the first floor of the lodge are airy and have large windows and verandas that are ideal to enjoy the view of the forests and watch birds in the orchard and nearby sanctuary.

North Indian and western set-menu meals are served in these rooms that have a superb view of the deciduous forests from large windows, doors and verandahs. We also entertain special requests for meals like traditional Gujarati/Kathiawadi regional dishes, North-West Indian street-food specialties, Kumaoni-style Chinese and of course the famous seafood from Veraval (a major fishing pier for lobster, crab, prawn and seafish like pomfret and kingfish) one hour away.

Geared-up for birders and other nature lovers, the lodge has knowledgeable resident naturalists to take guests for birding walks and excursions, a natural history library and arrangements for game-watching drives in the sanctuary.

Lion Safari Camp : The Lion Safari Camp is a new luxury jungle safari camp at the famous Gir National Park - the last remaining bastion of the Asiatic Lion. It is the first Luxury Jungle Safari Camp of its kind in Gir National Park located in a private Mango Orchard overlooking the Hiran River. The location presently has around 900 Mango Trees with only 2% of the entire land area being built so that the natural setting is maintained.
The accommodation consists of 20 Luxury Tents. The tents have large bedrooms with well-appointed ensuite bathrooms with bathtub, shower and hot/cold running water. The public areas of camp consist of an open-air river-facing restaurant.

Accommodation This is a premium property consisting of air conditioned luxury tents and is situated just 3 kms from the main Sasan village. The location and the ambience at the camp is just fantastic. The main luxury accommodation is amongst Mango orchards and the restaurant is in an open Patio by the riverside. There are a total of 20 tents which can accommodate around 40 persons on twin sharing basis. All the tents are air conditioned with a back up generator.
