Wildlife Tourism Goa

Vinsan Travels to promote Wildlife Tourism in Goa :

Goa-based, Vinsan Travel plans to promote the destination by introducing packages for Ecotourism in Goa . It plans to promote Wildlife Tourism, Monsoon Tourism and also spice plantations for the inbound tourists from countries like Germany, Russia and other European countries. The tour company mostly caters to the Free Individual Traveller (FIT) segment, although during the peak season there is a huge influx of group travellers. For Wildlife Tourism, the company highlights wildlife sanctuaries like Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary in Molem, Goa, Cotiago Wildlife Sanctuary and Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Highlighting Goa as a year round destination, Vinsan Travels is aggressively looking at promoting the state through monsoon packages.

Apart from the wildlife sanctuaries of Goa, Vinsan Travel also promotes Spice Tourism by taking tourists to Savoi Spice Plantation and the Ponda Spice Garden . “There are a lot of curious tourists who want to explore and experience nature while there are some who have fixed notions about Goa being all about beaches and churches,” said Sanjay Shetye, Proprietor, Vinsan Travels. For promoting inbound tourism the tour company clubs Goa with Hampi in Karnataka. “Group travellers usually want to explore the world heritage site of Hampi after exploring Goa ,” added Shetye.

Having gained the tag of being a preferred holiday destination across the globe, Goa still faces problems with regards to inadequate flights and aviation infrastructure facilities at the airport. “Due to the restricted landing timings at the Goa airport which is controlled by Indian navy, it becomes very crowded at the airport as the commercial flights land between 1pm to 4pm,” stated Shetye. Vinsan Travels has no set targets for the year 2009. Top Family Destinations
